Will they feel comfortable in their natural skin?
 
When the girls ask us about life as we knew it
will well tell them for a moment, we held contentment?
 
We held it under the shade of a tree
 
We held it on our finger tips in the sun
 
We held it on our breath while we whispered secrets
 
I’ll tell them in moments we felt at peace
 
And that I wanted to send them that peace
 
In the form of a love letter
 
So they wouldn’t forget
 
That even though the earth was on fire
We still loved one another
